Today was not as hot as it was in Oklahoma. I had the kids climb up on top of the camper to fix the bathroom vent cover with duct tape. As Red Green says, “If there’s tape on the roll, the job’s not done!” The girls washed their hair so now I had to dump the gray water a second time today. At 9:45am we left Dalhart, Texas and drove through New Mexico into Colorado.
Not much traffic in New Mexico |
Got gas in Raton, New Mexico and drove through Ute Park and Red River in New Mexico.
The land is really flat out here! |
Now we are at a KOA campsite in Alamosa, Colorado. We actually traveled 308 miles today, with 6.855 mpg.
One week down and three more to go. The crew is doing well. Just hope it holds out for the full trip with no one getting hurt.
