On Route 66, Shamrock, Texas

Got up early and pulled out of the campground before half the crew was up.  Found a building on Route 66 in Shamrock, Texas that was the basis for one of the buildings in the movie Cars. 

My crew in Palo Duro Canyon, Texas

Took the camper down into Palo Duro Canyon State Park.  It was very hot in the canyon.  The canyon was huge and the colors and rock shapes are always changing with rain and light.

We found a new campground in northern Texas, so new they were still building it.  The owner was working on the power when we got there.  It was 107° at 6pm.  We plugged in the a/c and the motor was laboring with power dips…not good!  So out of that campground and one hour later we are at a different campground in Dalhart, Texas.  A lot of sightseeing but not many miles today.  286 miles at 6.382 mpg.  The oil companies are loving me, but so far so good.  The camper is running great!  The crew is happy.  Tonight is the first time we have tv…anything for my crew!
